Pickerel Frog Rana palustris

Medium size 4-7cm TL tan to gray, with two sets of rectangular spots between dorsolateral folds on the back. Spots are generally dark green. Differentiated from Northern Leopard frog by having yellow flash colors on the thighs, and having a mottled belly. Rear feet are webbed. These frogs will produce toxic secretions that are irritating to humans, potentially fatal to small animals. Rear feet are webbed.
