Large up to 107cm TL. They superficially look like snakes in body shape, being long and slender, lacking legs. As a lizard they have ear openings, eyelids, and inflexible jaws. Brown to yellowish in color, often with a darker stripe down the entire length. Laterally marked with dark stripe and speckling. Ventrally striped below the lateral groove.
