Similar to but smaller than Gray Treefrogs up to 3.5cm TL. Gray to green in color on the back with a pale belly, males have a darker vocal sac. Lack of yellow flash color on the thighs, which is present in Gray treefrogs. Limited range in bottomland swamp areas of Southern Illinois.
