Medium to Large up to 18cm TL. 13-14 costal grooves on each side. Orange-red to pink with random darks spots without pattern across the entire dorsal side. The ventral is yellow and unspotted. Similar as juveniles to Longtail Salamander. Differentiated by round tail that is spotted, vs. vertically flattened tail with vertical bars of dark color seen in Longtails.
