Small size up to 10.7cm total length. Costal grooves range between 11-12. Generally jet back, with white or silver crossbars boldly banded across the back. Sexually dimorphic, males tend to be silver or white and females duller gray with regard to the crossbands. Tail is round. Ventral is generally black.
